Un poco bit crazy

Holy toledo! What a week it’s been!! It has literally been so crazy so long and so busy but it’s been a good one. This email isn’t gonna be super long but I hope y’all enjoy my little adventures thus far.

It’s been pretty weird without Elder Christensen. I miss him a lot and I didn’t realize how close I actually got with him. So Tuesday was really sad when we had to pack up and send him off.

Wednesday was zone conference and it was so fun!!! We had a ton of musical numbers and I sang o holy night with another elder and 2 sisters. We sang the third verse in Spanish and it was really cool. After the actual “conference” part we decorated cookies and ate lunch. We then started the white elephant hehehe. Knowing me, you already know my gift was gonna be pretty dope. It had to be under $5 too which is also difficult but I went with the reliable picture and picture frame. I took a picture at Walmart making a heart with my hands, then printed it out, signed it, and framed it. So back to zone conference, I was super excited to see who got my gift. I could totally see a few elders stealing it too cause would be pretty funny. But as we were going around the circle a sister went to grab a gift and Elder Speyer and Elder Christensen convinced her to grab mine 🤦‍♂️ I was so embarrassed. Needless to say she was pretty surprised to open the gift seeing a signed picture of me framed. It was funny though ans Sister Seitz loved it. Sister Brady was the one who ended up with it and she said she was just gonna put it in their apartment and leave it there when she got transferred. So that’ll be funny for other sisters to see totally out of context haha. But it was super funny. During lunch Elder Speyer, Elder Christensen, and I performed away in a Manger on our bells and it was super fun haha.

Then just some random stuff happened the rest of the week but nothing important. This one guy left us a voice-mail about how if we didn’t take bibles to the houses he wanted (he gave us addresses to cartels, mafia members, and crack houses so obviously we weren’t gonna go). But he angrily said we aren’t real missionaries and we should go back where we came from and marry a bunch of women and some other colorful language that doesn’t need to be repeated. So that was awesome.

Today was super awesome but super busy! We did our shopping and laundry and went down to Mt pleasant to spend the day at the Wilson’s again!!! It was literally such a blast!! Their family is so loving and they do so much for us. I’m so grateful for them and their kindness. We had a couple nerf wars and it was a blast even though I got out pretty fast haha. One of the Wilson’s sons Boston was so cute. He’s 8 years old and was telling me I was his favorite. We stayed together during the nerf battles and it was pretty cool. He also told me a pretty awesome joke that I’d like to share: What is the first thing elves learn in school?

-the ELFabet!!!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH

Such a quality joke if I do say so myself. But he was adorable and hugged me like 5 times before we left cause he didn’t wanna say goodbye.

Then we did some caroling as a district and and headed home back to Paris. It was a super awesome day!! And I got to call and see my extended family during a family dinner!! Good Stuff!!!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! Please don’t forget the true meaning of Christmas. I want to bear my testimony to you all of the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This gospel is true. It was restored back on the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Holy Ghost testifies to all who accept it. I’ve seen the most hard-hearted people turn around and accept a book of Mormon through the power of the Holy Ghost. This gospel is true. It’s the only way we can live with our Heavenly Father again. He loves you! And I love you!! And never forget to keep lighting the world with love!! Muchos Besos!!! And remember, God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good!!

Love, The Elder Grubbs
