A Paris Miracle

This will be a short email but I’m staying in Paris!!! I’m so excited to be here for another transfer!! This week blew by it was kinda ridiculous. But it was a super good week. We had a decent amount of lessons and a lot of service to do.
Wednesday was a miracle!! I got to see the one and only Coach Ben McLelland!!! It was pretty legendary. Had a nice old chat and dinner at burger land and then visited the Eiffel tower!! Definitely the highlight of my week 👌
We had a lesson with Alfred on Friday and we were prompted to invite him to church. Not just to come, but I felt like he really needed to be there this week. So I promised him that there was a message he needed to hear specifically for him on Sunday. We gave him a call before church and even though it had been a rough morning, he still came! We had been setting some goals for the word of wisdom with him and it’s been a struggle. But the talks today were based on talks from this last General Conference about letting God be the author to our story, and becoming 1% better. It was super cool and it was like they wrote their talks for him!! He was super glad he came and was excited to have another lesson and come to church next week!!

I started saying some goodbyes because I thought I was getting transferred but I’m staying!! So that’s super awesome. Elder Speyer is leaving unfortunately but he’s goin up to ZL so he’ll do some great things ✊ He’ll be missed for sure.

Before I end I just want to share my testimony of the Book of Mormon with y’all. I’ve set a goal to finish the Bible and as I’ve been studying I’ve actually grown my testimony of the Book of Mormon so much. I finished the book of Mormon by the end of the year and was excited to move on to the Bible. However, I quickly learned that I wouldn’t have the same experience. The Bible has been translated so many times and interpreted so many different ways. I’d like to use an analogy I’ve used in a past email. The Bible is like a singular dot on a piece of paper. There is an infinite amount of lines you can draw to go through that dot. But if you draw another dot (this being the book of Mormon) there’s only one line that can connect both dots. The Bible is an amazing testament of Jesus Christ and his teachings, but the book of Mormon was only translated once through the power of God. I am truly grateful for Joseph Smith and his faith and sacrifice so that we may have the Book of Mormon today. As I am learning in the Bible more and more, I’m always developing a stronger love for the book of Mormon which Joseph Smith stated: “to be the most correct of any book on earth”. I truly believe that and I’m grateful for the scriptures and the lessons we can learn from them.

I hope y’all had a great week and staying strong with your new year’s goals!! I love you all dearly and don’t forget to email me and update me on life!!! Muchos Besos!! And remember, God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good!!
